A few weeks ago, I went way up north with my husband and some co-workers for a long weekend.
We stayed in a beautiful lakehouse, walked around the woods, saw some deer (!!), and even visited a cranberry bog and winery. Despite the cold and the rain, it was beautiful, and a much needed getaway.
Also notable (but maybe only for fellow photographers) is the gratuitous use of the tilt-shift lens in these pictures. I got one a month or so ago, but haven’t had much of a chance to play with it until now. I love it and can’t wait to use it on some weddings and other shoots!

wow, that looks like a wonderful trip! i adored all the photos, but the ones in the forest are my favorite. what a cool lens!
Thanks!
The forest was beautiful! If it wasn’t six hours away I would be doing photo shoots there all the time!
And I’m glad you like the lens… you’ll be seeing lots of it in about 8 months!
Beautiful fall colors, and I love the way you used the tilt-shift. The first shot is my favorite, and I love the mailboxes, too.
