This is hands down one of my favorite shoots… pretty much ever.
Cassie & Jimmy are friends of one of my best friends, so I knew that they were awesome people before we even had a consult… but I feel like I really got to know them through this shoot… and I love them! Cassie came to me with a ton of ideas for their e-session, which I always appreciate. Not only do these ideas give me a jumping off point for my creativity, but they also really incorporate the client’s personality and likes into the shoot… which always makes a shoot awesome. She loved details, wanted to incorporate green apples, and loved the vintage look. I loved it all! It was like a client/photographer match made in heaven.
Cassie & Jimmy… I hope you like these as much as I do, and I can’t wait for the wedding!
(A bit about the processing – I got a little present from the amazing people over at Red Leaf Studios one day when they noticed that I listed them on my inspiration page; they sent me their Retro action set! I used them extensively on this session’s photos, especially the Glaze, Chic, and Groovy actions. I always like to tweak actions, to make them a bit more my own, and these were super easy to modify, which made me love them even more. I can’t wait to continue playing around with them on different sets of photos, especially the actions in the set that I didn’t utilize as much this time. Thanks so much Richard and Amy!).

Okay, I don’t think I could pick a favorite out of these if I had to! They are all SO amazing! The one with the guitar and boots…brilliantly gorgeous. The one with the apples at their faces…LOVE it! And the last one just below the waist…so simple and perfect. I really love Red Leaf Studios but have never actually bought any of their actions. Now I have to! Hahaha…

This is a beautiful e-session. I love the warm and earthy tones in the images. You did a great job in post as well as in the field. The shot through the grass is perfectly composed.
