I’ve had the roll of film that these pictures came from in my camera for almost six months, it was such a surprise to see what I got back! I have to “make a date” to shoot in film, and with starting a business, working a “day job,” and having a house and a husband, there just isn’t a lot of time to go out on dates with my film cameras so it takes me forever to finish a roll. But, every time I get handed a set of film prints, I wonder why I don’t shoot all the time with it.
So, goal for 2010? Shoot more film!
Now, stroll down memory lane of the last six months of my life with me…

(My friend’s grandparents’ farmhouse. Too bad they just sold it, and that it’s in Indiana… it’s a fantastic spot for portraits!)

(I went to the Chicago Botanical Gardens for the first time this summer. Such a gorgeous place. I need to go back!)

(Lily pads at the Botanical Gardens)

(Just one film shot from Jimmy & Cassie’s e-session. I wanted to shoot more film, but we got so wrapped up in what we were doing I forgot until it got too dark)

(Poor little rose bush; first snow of the year)

This is so good! It always surprises me how I get 9-10 decent shots out of 12 when I shoot all manual 40 year old cameras and when I shoot super-duper the most expensive out there DSLRs there’s always tons of trash files for a single good one.
Thanks! I agree, I usually get a better keeper to trash ratio with film. Probably because it’s so much more important to stop and think
