A lot of times, I’ll show up to engagement or portrait shoots in jeans and a t-shirt (don’t worry, not for weddings!). I always feel so unprofessional upon first glance, but once I start shooting, it becomes obvious why I dress that way.
I lay on the ground.
A lot.
I also climb things. Really, photography is a full-contact sport for me. I’ll wedge myself anywhere, stand on or in anything that won’t kill me, and will lay on anything that won’t cause me to break out in a rash later. Seriously, ask my clients that have been with me on a shoot.
Why do I climb and crawl around so much? Well, the most striking photos are usually the the ones from a different perspective, and I’m of the “anything for a shot” mentality. (It’s also a cheaper workout than signing up for a gym.)
So, for today’s Casual Friday, we’ll celebrate a different perspective – I love this shot, just because it’s not what you typically see when you look at a tree.
