This is a bit of a different type of post – no couples tying the knot or being cutesy, not a Casual Friday post – but something that is still very important!
My good friends Carly and Kris just opened their store, Luster, last weekend. It was a long time in the making, but it was worth the wait. Specializing in handmade colorful jewelry, and bright, fun clothing, they picked the perfect spot in Lincoln Park (2007 N Sheffield Ave., to be exact) for their storefront. It’s definitely for the younger crowd.
Blue striped walls, yellow polka-dotted curtains, and splashes of pink run through the store – it’s just impossible to be grumpy in such a happy color scheme. And even better, they have a candy theme throughout with candy sprinkled table legs and counters (no really, they made table legs and counters from hundreds of pounds of sprinkles), as well as some candy dishes.
